NOMO SOHO

Great location, but….
Very positive: the location in Soho is really excellent. Many nice shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had an upgrade from Queen Suite to King Suite on the 25th floor and really sensational views towards New Jersey. The suite was nicely furnished, a little bit few compartments, but ok. Lighting thought up by the designer, ergo too dim to shave. But overall really appealing.
The negative: no coffee machine in the room and also no complimentary water. Not really possible with such a hotel.
But the staff led to the devaluation: totally disinterested, not helpful, grumpy, you name it. Obviously, everyone was forced to work in the hotel. There doesn’t seem to be any management that would provide some customer orientation. We’ve never seen such bad staff in the many hotels we’ve been to in New York before. Too bad, because otherwise the house is already recommendable.

We couldn’t complain. The noise from the Rooftopbar, which was often complained about in the reviews, was not to be heard in our room, rather from the neighbouring room of the roaring toddler, in the morning at 7 o’clock. But you can have bad luck everywhere.
The location of the hotel is great, you can reach everything easily and there are many good food possibilities nearby, even a vegan restaurant.
The pool is also great, but also here rather besieged by a crowd of children.
The staff has been very friendly.
